The worldwide panic surrounding corvid-19 is having a huge impact on every aspect of our lives. As a reviewer involved in the events industry we are hearing from many friends and businesses of their struggles. Many people are staying home and avoiding their normal activities under guidance from their governments, the knock on effect is that the events industry is taking a massive hit.
Rightfully so people are worried about their own health and the health of their loved ones, people are self isolating and staying indoors. Strangely Escape Rooms among the worst affected, this does not make much sense as you enter the room with your friends and family (who you know the health of?) and only see your games-master briefly?
We are keen for people to stay healthy but we also hate to see small businesses suffering and going out of business. Many companies are offering free re-scheduling and moving of bookings should you feel unwell or do not want to take the risk of public spaces. Please support any small business by purchasing gift vouchers or attending events if you feel it is safe to do so!
Government projections are stating that the pandemic will peak in May, hopefully allowing our public services to return to some normality in time for Halloween preparations as many companies would be crippled if gatherings during that time were cancelled.
