Event Review
Scaresville, one of the big names in the UK scream park game, was on top form this year. A redesign of their website and and update to their marketing was an indication the team were upping their game.
Starting the event in the ‘Unfairground’ was a great atmosphere builder, there were live actors and shows running during our wait time. The addition of an escape room felt like a moneymaking opportunity and was a little disappointing for the price.
The attraction starts at the stables, a familiar place for seasoned Scaresville attendees, but after this the site has been re-designed with totally new scenes, scares and buildings. What we love about Scaresville is the variety of scares, this year did not disappoint with some really inventive and different areas that kept us on our toes.
We were disappointing to see that the group bunching is still a problem, although it has been more cleverly marshalled this year, you are told not to catch up to the group in front but this is almost impossible when members of your group are running from a scare and you all need to catch up to them!
Overall we were pleased with the update Scaresville has had this year, the team are constantly changing and building which is in our opinion what keeps their event up there as one of the best seasonal attractions.
